Small Parts, Molded Parts, & Prototype Rubber Roller Work

At Harwood Rubber Products, no job is too small. Our precision equipment can hold very close sizes on even the smallest parts. We have covered and recovered rubber rollers less than 1″ in diameter, and less than 1″ long to exacting tolerances.

And we welcome single parts for repair. Never apologize for asking us to cover one small part. We have many customers that provide one tiny rubber roller to us maybe once a year. We do not have minimums or expensive set up charges.

Extensive tooling department

Harwood Rubber Products carries an extensive tooling department of existing rings, forms and molds that can minimize the cost of covering your small rubber coated roller, as well as expedite the time to getting the roller back to you. On a number of occasions, we have been able to help a customer with a molded item without an expensive upfront mold and tooling costs.

We also have a large bank of presses to service a continuous variety of customer’s needs, while keeping any customer designed tooling costs to a minimum. This alone can reduce your down time. Though not a production molding shop, we have produced both large and small numbers of molded plates, rings and rubber forms, both bonded to metal and rubber only parts. We have molded back up shoes, process line rubber covered chain pads, rubber bumpers, rubber seals, and a variety of rubber molded forms.

We inventory our customer’s molds, and without any setup charges, can get your mold back into our production schedule and more molded parts into your hands in a short amount of time.

Huge in-house rubber inventory

Our vast inventory of in-house materials assures you that the best possible formulation is available relative to your specific service requirement which also reduces the lead time of your custom part(s). We carry all the standard polymers formulated to optimize performance. We also have a number of high tech exotic formulations for your more demanding applications. We can analyze your existing covering and offer a suitable similar replacement, which would most likely be in our inventory.

We are experts in the reverse engineering of your obsolete or overseas equipment, with a quick turnaround. In most cases, we can also offer quality process improvements which can extend the service life of the rubber roller itself.

Prototype rubber roller work

Give us a call for your prototype work. We have a lot of experience working with engineers during the initial phase of the roller or machine design. On numerous occasions, we have created a prototype rubber coated roller with minimal up front tooling costs, to allow for initial testing of your new idea.

Our years of experience in a large number of applications can be drawn upon to help in getting the correct rubber roller design the first time. We have created small generic molds without a lot of cost to see if your concept will offer results.
